Employment

Hancock Coal Pty Ltd (HCPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hancock Prospecting Pty Ltd, is currently preparing a Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) for the Alpha Coal Project.

This major project has as its centerpiece the development of an extensive thermal coal deposit in Queensland's Galilee Basin, about 400km inland from the coast.

The project will encompass more than two billion tonnes of JORC compliant resource with a mining regime of 30 Mtpa. Infrastructure will include the construction of approximately 495km of rail, port facilities, mine infrastructure, process plant, a commercial airstrip and workforce village.

Total project cost is in the order of A$7.5 billion.

HCPL are now seeking an Expression of Interest from those who wish to be part of the Alpha Coal Project and to work in the Brisbane CBD offices on preparing and executing the BFS.

This is a unique opportunity to be associated with one of the most significant projects undertaken in Australia, both in scope and complexity, as well as being the first major mining project in Queensland's Galilee Basin.

The BFS commenced in February 2010 and is expected to take the remainder of 2010 to complete.

The remaining role for which we are seeking an Expressions of Interest is:

Previous experience in developing a BFS work for major resource/infrastructure projects will be highly regarded, with coal experience being preferable.
